ASU Scope
ASU offers a variety of services and events. Each month, a dinner meeting is held. There is a time of socializing, a meal, and an after dinner speaker. Guest speakers are carefully selected to provide a wide range of interesting and informative topics related to data processing. Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are areas where technical or specific questions can be addressed, usually during the social time. Over the years there have been SIGs in the areas of: PCs, System/34/36, System/38, and AS/400. Future SIGs might include RS/6000, or Java. ASU has, in the past, offered special functions such as tours of local innovative data facilities and education programs.
